Before you start

Four taps

    Open Settings

    The grey app with the gears, on your Home Screen.

    Tap General

    A few rows down.

  3. 3

    Tap Software Update

    It shows the version you have, and the update when there is one.

  4. 4

    Tap Download and Install

    Enter your passcode and leave it to finish. Your iPhone restarts when it’s done. If it says it needs more space, it can move some apps aside for a while and put them back after.

Which iPhones get iOS 27

  • iPhone 11 and every iPhone since, including iPhone Air and the e models
  • iPhone SE, 2nd generation and later

Not sure which you have? Settings, General, About shows the model name. An older iPhone can’t get iOS 27, and that’s fine: your keepsake still works, in Wallet’s classic layout.
